Hello,

Feelingdepressed...can't make it work eventhought everyone is saying this mod is very easy to use...

I've tried to integrate the sample video {qtube vid:=XJKsxmiEWOc} of the demo and it doesn't even work !

Did I install the module correctly ? I believe so (it appears correctly on the dashboard and it is activated)

I find it weird though that it says on top of my left row:

QTube
Video ID missing!

Can anyone understand the problem ?

It's impossible to tell you exactly what's wrong. The message on the letf colum 'Video ID missing!' is from QTube module. When you use the module the video ID must be placed in module parameters, a command like {qtube vid:=XJKsxmiEWOc} is to display a video inside an article.

thanks for your answer let me ask the question more precisely.

1. when qtube is installed does it have to appear somewhere in the front end ? like on the left menu on my website ?

right now it shows:
QTube
Video ID missing!

2. I've typed in the correct tag in the article but the video doesn't want to show up. I've cutpasted the tag+video that was used in one of the demo {qtube vid:=XJKsxmiEWOc} and this doesn't even work, it keeps showing the actual tag on the front end without showing the video. It seems joomla act as if it did't understand the tag from Qtube. Am I mispelling it of what ?

Thanks again.

1) QTube module

Modules are not displayed in Menu Manager but in Extensions >> Module manager: go there, click on QTube module and on the next screen under Module Parameters you can enter the video id (only the ID not {qtube vid:=xxx} that's for the plugin only).

2) QTube Plugin

If you see {qtube vid:=xxx} in place of the video, that's probably because you have not enabled the plugin. In Joomla backend go to Extensions >> Plugin manager find QTube row and click inside enabled column: you must see a check mark (enabled) while a red cross means disabled.
